Due to an exciting period of expansion, we need an assistant estimator to join our team.

Salary : Negotiable 

Role Responsibilities
• Review project documents and establish pricing for projects
• Responsible for reviewing project specifications
• Work closely alongside manager
• Create monthly reports
• Ensure project meets all contract requirements
• Maintain outstanding relationships with architects, sub-contractors, engineers, suppliers and company personnel working on the project
• Document potential schedule delays and notify manager promptly
• Ensure all pricing records are set up for the correct customers and are supported by appropriate documentation
• Identity and resolve any pricing discrepancies
• Manage the shared pricing inbox
• Respond to requests for confirmation of pricing or provision of pricing lists
• Interpret plans and construction materials to propose and double check estimates
• Identify and resolve deviation from the proposal, including scope and specifications
• Write up technical reports, project updates and proposals
• Gather information to be used to produce project estimate

 

Skills and Qualifications
• The candidate should be skilled in interpreting architect plans and have an in-depth knowledge of pricing administration
• Good knowledge of the Microsoft Office suites
• Strong background in PC-based scheduling such as Microsoft Excel
• Minimum 2 years’ experience
