BPR Contract Furniture were delighted to have played a role in the recent refurbishment of The Tourist, Portrush. Situated on the stunning coast of North Antrim, this seaside town is the perfect place to enjoy spectacular views while dining.
The Tourist, formerly known as Coast, forms part of the renowned Ramore Restaurants group and prides itself on its friendly family atmosphere and exquisite world foods and drinks bar. The client was inspired by raw, edgy, down to earth designs and wanted to implement this design style into their project.

Designer Gordon Devenney successfully brought this vision to life by stripping everything back to basic form and putting in raw finishes including plywood, polished concrete and rusted steel. The room was extended structurally to maximise space in order to accommodate more customers and ultimately create a space that is comfortable and functional.

BPR Contract Furniture supplied a bespoke L-shape chesterfield sofa, upholstered in a stunning burgundy from Crest leather’s Old English range. With sprung seat for extra comfort and traditional deep button detail, this piece is truly eye-catching.

Industrial sealed birch plywood booths add to the rustic atmosphere of the restaurant, while offering customers a private setting to enjoy their food. Circular booths made from a combination of bespoke cuts of timber and wrought iron legs add an edgy element to the space. Our seat pads upholstered in Yarwood leather, graphite, blend perfectly into the surroundings and provide a highly durable surface area perfect for contract use.
